    Third winter with the Gouchos.

Though they appeared to be a little flimsy at first impression they proved to be solid work horses.

Greased them up once in the very beginning I didn’t ever get wet feet working in the garden, sweeping snow...and though I wear them almost daily between October and March their soles show not more wear down than my Red Wings with Vibram soles after just a few walks.

Will though get a pair of Darven Brogues from Aigle for lousy conditions and more socializing activities. Will add some live pix once I got them.

A couple weeks back I noticed a cobbler had set up shop next to the liquor store, so I took him these iron rangers that the heel had torn loose from.

He put a one piece vibram sole on them, kind of a softer rubber like the white crepe soles on the moc toe boots. Not exactly what I was expecting, nor really even what I had discussed with the lady who took them when I dropped them off, but he saved them from the garbage and the sole he put on IS pretty comfortable. Way more so than the original one.

Indy boots in Snuff Suede. Though I've been sceptical about suede in the past, last year I got me a pair of C&J suede chukka's and since then I find suede the most comfortable material.

I own an original duck lined Aldens from 2007 and have been considering a pair in a different leather. These are convincing me more and more.

Just got a pair of 8” Thorogood moc toe boots (814-4201). I hope my Red Wing boots don’t get jealous!

The first 3 photos are from yesterday; the other 2 are from today.
