German flag WWII ??

I don't think it is a German flag of an sort. Check this video out for the trailer for The Black Legion

About 0:32 into the video you will see the same variant on the skull & crossbones on the hood.
I am supposing that the flag is a variant on a white supremacist groups flag of the era. Only a guess though based on the finding of a movie trailer. Might have some merit though.
