Greetings all...a small update on the leather hatbox. The design I am trying is just reeeeeeeeeeally being difficult. Not dragging my feet just trying to work out the kinks of the prototype. Additionally since I know the first one is where the mistakes are made, I am working with leather that I have rather than buying new stock (which makes it a bit harder actually). I am custom making everything on these except the buckles (even the feet will be hand ground).
With allllll of that said, if it gets too frustrating I will move to design #2 which I believe to be much more straight forward, though equally as interesting.

PS I am not showing pictures because I don't want to bias your view of what the final product will be...though the tooling on the lid is really nice,
