Get to work! ; )
Nice mandolin, DD. I have a Dixon, I haven't played in a while, I should pull it out.
A much more expensive hobby!
Another cool morning in north Texas. Today I'm sporting a "westernized" rust red-brown Milano homburg courtesy of Stefan @steur along with my trusty tobacco-burst Summit mandolin.
Great hat and awesome mandolin!
Thank you, sir. I do like them both very much!
Randy, Is that the Collings in Koa? Or is that Eric that has one in Koa?
Stetson Shady Oak Farm Amon Carter in 3X, strumming a humble Martin this afternoon.
Love those Martins. I had an HD28 many years ago and I always have a twang of guilt when I think about letting it go. This one is, indeed, a 1998 Collins OM3 Koa. I'll post some more pics next week.
Stray from the forum for a bit and what do I find? Nice hats and beautiful instruments! You gentlemen have good taste.
I really like Collings Oval hole mandolins. The guitars are beautiful. With so many beautiful instruments around here, I am curious about the preferred music you all play. I spend most of my time playing fiddle tunes on mandolin. I also play bluegrass tunes and some old time. I strum a guitar sometime. Let's here from some string musicians!
If I remember correctly Eric has a couple of Collings also, & I remembered one of you guys had a Koa. Perhaps both of you do.
My Martin above is a 16 Series 00c rosewood deep body with Fishman electronics. I also have an OM28V with the vintage neck profile.
DD, after having that left hand & arm surgery 3 yrs ago, & still having Dupuytrens Contracture I don't play anything well enough to deserve a Collings anymore.
Jack, no physical Limitations here, just lack of talent! I don't deserve a Martin or Collings!
My baby. Froggy Bottom H-12 deluxe with a Stetson Roadster on the side.
Headstock & heel block scrimshaw close-up
Beautiful axe and hat! You guys are killing me!
My nylon baby. Cordoba C-12 Cedar top. Forgot to include a fedora in the photo.
I'm strictly a fingerstyle player, can't sing at all. So I play a lot of solo instrumental music. Varies all over the place from Beatles to classical to jazz chord melody.
