Agreed, I'm finishing up season one tonight, and the hats for the most part, are extremely inaccurate for 1865.

Hats, ***s... they are using Winchester *****s... No Henry *****s!!

Yes it is. In this part it's a mess, next time this hat appears, it's like "new".

Of course it does... Maybe they'll give away some of the "seconds!"

So, many of the leads have changed hats for the new season, and I'm fascinated by the *almost* matching pair of pecans that Colm Meaney and Lilly wear. Would those be considered coachman top hats, or "Mosby" hats, or what?

I love this hat, kind of a derby but Im guessing a 2 1/2 in brim. Or it could be a Homburg with the crown pushed out...
