I’ve been fortunate enough to pick up two wool spearpoint western coats.

And this Land-N-Lakes I’ll need to have altered shorter:

I’m partial to the ombré shadow plaids. These jackets just ooze cool and are surprisingly versatile and easy to wear, they always get compliments.

Fantastic!! I was unfortunate enough to outgrow one of those a couple decades ago and moved it on and have never found another since. They are awesome coats! Those look great!

Cuz, I’ve looked at a ton (pun intended) of those over the years and the fit is always difficult for me in the vintage coats. I love them and @ton312 looks great in his. Maybe he’ll soon be found on the sidewalks of Chicago in his cowboy boots on the way to Optimo for one of their westerns.

H bar C from the 60s or 70s. Meant to post this when I got it awhile back but life gets distracting. Jack's post reminded me. This pattern has been in their catalog since 1944, if I remember correctly what I read. First produced in wool gabardine fabric, then later on rayon. The double knit became the thing in the mid 60s (they call it polyester gabardine).

I’ve seen you post similar coats in another thread and I would love to find something like these. Awesome coats!

Updated pics of my Land-N-Lakes spearpoint. Tailor did an absolutely superb job making the jacket a 30” length.

Absolutely love these jackets. I definitely need the right right, bright Hank Snow shirt to accompany it, a silver belly hat and some proper boots if I am to be any kind of actual urban cowboy:D
