Kidding. 7-1/8 to 7-1/4 should be no prob. Go visit Art up in SF (you'll end up with a few more hats though given his collection!) or that guy Baron in LA. Or perhaps any cowboy hatter you might have in Whittier.
Stretching a hat one size is not a problem. If you do not have experience doing it then maybe it might be best to have a professional do it. The benefit of that would be that you could also have it cleaned and reblocked while you are at it. I am not sure the condition of the hat in question but just about every vintage hat could use a little TLC. Then you could dazzle your friends with a hat that not only fits but looks great.
