hi
dont post that often but i need help...ive seen this great horsehide jacket on the internet, (i cant try it on)

shoulder to shoulder 19"....perfect
shoulder to cuff 26"....perfect
pit to pit 24".............thats where it gets confusing
that size seems helluva big i'm 6'1" , 42" chest and a 36" waist

i'm convincing myself it'll be alright but i need a second opinion
i have some leathers that vary from 22-24" pit to pit sizes, but all differently made. i'm just a bit worried i would be buying a tent.
any expert advice outhere

ps its second hand so theres no return

I just sold a size 42 motorcycle jacket that had a similar size chest,
BUT it also had an extra removable insulated vest.

It really depends on the style as well.

What style of jacket is it? Is it meant to fit tightly?

I also am a 42, and that is the chest measurement I generally consider a good fit, especially if I want to wear a sweater or a vest under it. I would buy it.

jacket sizing

celtic and peacoat
thanks for advice. its a double brested pea coat type.
still concerned about possible "tent look" on this jacket especially at £100.
i've checked out other sizes on this type of jacket, but non the wiser.
as its 24" pit to pit and being sold with euro 52 label (which i presume is uk42)
does that mean its a 48"chest? any thoughs on this?
suppose i need a push.
