Japan and love for Americana even after WWII

After WWII why do the people of Japan still love Americana? Street style is a lot of USA military wear from that era. Proof point the success of Real McCoys. Then you have their love of baseball. american vintage cars.

If the US lost the war and two a bombs hit the US continent, I highly doubt Americans would be emulating Japanese style and military repros. I always found this dynamic fascinating on my trips to Japan.

Curious on other members opinions. Thanks in advance.
