I'm not loving the curls they produce in the commercial, but I love the idea! I wonder if the curls are really more of a product of how they're using the curlers than the curlers themselves? They have a bit of an odd shape, but I don't suppose that would automatically lend itself to curls that look like that?

I'm thinking you would use the same setting pattern you would use with pillow rollers, and of course how you style it afterwards would make a difference.

These look like they would be very useful for when you just want a bit of a curl going through your hair. Would be interesting to see how long the curl lasted as looks quite loose. For $10 is worth a go though - but that's the attitude that has got me several cupboards worth of curlers.

They don't seem to be rolling them with all that much tension- I'm think that is why the ending curls are so loose.

Very interesting- I'm always looking for a curler to replace my pink foams. Never could get rag rollers to work and sleeping in the foam one isn't all that comfortable :p

I just walked in and my Lock Loop rollers are here.So of course I had to try them.I combed my dry hair and sectioned the perimeter of my hair and curled it all under, stopping at the hair line. sprayed before and after rolling with Garnier Fructis Curl Shaping spray gel.

Sat under the dryer 10 minutes

Now I'll go back to work and try to ignore them.
Here it is "after"with just a little finger styling and combing

I'd say these were quick and easy to put in, and would be fairly comfortable to sleep in.

crwitt, your hair looks great!

I have them but doesn't use them much now as I prefer pin curls. On me they give very tight and frizzy curls, so my main use if when I re-enact 18th century and wants a big poufy hair.

I have thick, natuarrly wavy hair, if that is any help.

Thanks for posting your results with these. I hadn't seen the commercial but just now watched the video. I'm with the others who don't like the curl shown in the video, but yours turned out so much better! I'm guessing these are very easy to sleep in and don't leave bumps in the hair sections too. They seem to be just like a set of hot sticks, only without the heat. Crwritt - your curls look great. Don't see any frizz either. Is this something you can see yourself using often?

Isis, my hair is thick and naturally wavy too. When I set it I smoothed the top and only curled the edges. If I had curled it all over I may have gotten frizz too.As it is I still get tons of volume.
Clabbergirl, I did try sleeping in them last night but I don't sleep well in rollers so I must have removed them about 4am.I did all around the edges, first brushing with a damp hairbrush, and used fewer rollers, so the sections were bigger.I did not add any product as there was already spray gel in there. I used 7 rollers this time. Here it is this morning, after "trying" to sleep in them.

I think I'll continue to use them on redampened dry hair, since it dries fast and I don't sleep well on rollers.
