I guess I've been getting in touch with my heritage - watching a lot of Italian flicks over the past few months. Marcello Mastrioanni could possibly be the most magnetic male to ever appear on the screen, as well as one of the greatest actors. Though I had seen La Dolce Vita and 8 1/2 a few times, I've just recently watched them again, as well as White Nights and Big Deal on Madonna Street. If you've never seen any of his films, be sure to add them to your Netflix queue.

He was stylish and elegant. Hollywood had Cary Grant and Italy had Marcello Mastroianni. Imagine the sartorial spendor if they had appeared in the same film? Maybe they'd cancel each other out...

Divorce, Italian Style. I own this, still haven't seen it with English subtitles, still, hilarious in Italian with German subtitles which is how I saw it on TV.
