Might be a wildcard, but you could reach out to Golden Bear directly, see where they got the leather from. Though they do not seem in the business of doing a custom job even for more money.

If you go through Thurston - the Vanson Bainbridge offerings have a similar effect, just not 'Red Wine'. They have a "maple" amber-reddish color. Could ask about a red.

Shangri La has a few oddball leathers that have that dynamic break...not red per se, but will look cool. They do a few custom. Or ask if they can get the CF Stead in a different color.

Lastly, Aero can do a J-100 'Board Racer' style in their 'cordovan' red / burgundy. Something like (either work with Aero or Thurston?)

May not be as dynamic as these others, but over time it the CXL will develop the high and low areas.

If your on budget I think Taylor Brando has a burgundy, but I would doubt leather over time and fit / movement quality.

I will mention, having owned this jacket, that the leather is surprisingly light and pretty thin. Not in a bad way, but in a way that this jacket was ideal to wear in Southern California but wouldn't not offer a ton in the way of warmth in colder places.

The thinness of this leather with the lack of filler in the lining (and very thin lining at that) definitely paired well with the extreme pull-up this hide had in that any movement would crease and shift oils and change color constantly as worn. I dont think you will get the same effect with a hide that is thicker or a jacket with thick warm lining.

Also, I have to mention I have never seen a leather like this before, so I think it could be tough to find something with similar properties.
