I find Advocaat vile in every way, Malibu is just plain horrible and should be banned and try as I might I really can't get on with Gordon's gin...

I'm sure I'll think of something else in a minute now I'm started! :p

Icky Chinese liquor, very strong, and although the fragrance is nice (kind of floral) the taste is as I imagine a two -week corpse would be. Disgusting.

Do recall many many years ago when just before payday, my pals and I would pool our funds and pick up a small bottle of Four Roses and a six pack of Brew 102 cans. After a couple of hits, it wasn't too bad!

Helps when you have no idea of what good is!

. Well, I have gin, but my tastes are low and I admit to liking Gordon's and Beefeaters. Someday.....

Nothing wrong with these tow, they're fine Gins. I must admit that the Gordon's available on the continent and across the pond is superior to domestic variety in the UK. 37.5%(Green UK) vs. 40%+

Am I the only person who likes Campari?

Also, I hate Jagermeister.

There does seems to be a lot of paraphernalia associated with Jagermeister. I know one person that like Campari, he a bartender and always drinks it with a flamed orange.

P.S. May I say your new avatar pic is lovely. :)

As for me, I LOVE gin, advocat & schnapps.
I don't mind Jager either, it angers up the blood don't you know :rage:

Maybe you're not setting your sights low enough:

Sanatogen or Aftershock for me.

And does anybody know a cocktail recipe that can make Galianno taste nice?

Galliano eh?
How about the vintage Harvey Wall banger:
5 ounces orange juice
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce galliano
Pour vodka and orange juice over ice cubes stir then layer the galliano on top. If you don't like the Galliano on top then just pour it in with the rest and mix. ;) :p
Or a much recommended Bartender's Rootbeer:
1 oz kahlua
1/2 oz galliano
Fill glass with ice. Add Kahlua and Galliano. Top off with equal parts Coke and Soda water.
It tastes like rootbeer---not Galliano. :D

People drink it straight and unchilled. It is very popular with the chic younger crowd (I have no idea why). It is absolutely repugnant:

I actually don't mind this every now and again, although I prefer gammel dansk. When I lived in Norway these types of spirit are fairly popular to have as a chaser to a pint of beer. Saying that, I'd much rather have a good linie aquavit.
