What a beauty! This is a reposting of a photo I posted on the "What Hat Are You Wearing Today thread a couple of days ago. I thought I would repost the photo on this Thread. It is an Optimo Super Fino that I bought about 7 years ago from Graham through Carolyn Busch's store in Menlo Park. Hopefully you can see the detail of the tightness of the weave.

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Now this I like, a really interesting look with the bright colors. I can see a lot of wear out of this one. Especially today!
I was done buying hats for the day when those 2 blue bodies jumped up and started mocking me! True story! Now this I like, a really interesting look with the bright colors. I can see a lot of wear out of this one. Especially today!

Cuenca, Ecuador. PM sentwhere do you buy such a hat?
A super fino semi- calado. If it didn't have the weaver's name in the straw, I would have picked this one up.

If it didn't have the weaver's name in the pattern, it'd be coming home with me.This changes my favorite semi-calado, Doug. It's now THIS one. Never seen as finely-done semi as this. WOW!!!!!!!
Surprised to hear that. If you liked the hat, all the more reason to buy it. Sorta like having a signed painting. If it didn't have the weaver's name in the pattern, it'd be coming home with me.
Now that is a statement straw! Nice Doug!
