I've recently gotten some A-6A flight boots and each boot has a small hole in the leather, no bigger than a nickle on each boot. What is the best way to patch such a hole.
Just spit-balling here but a cobbler might glue a lining to cover the hole on the interior and then glue a leather patch on the exterior, followed by reinforcement stitching.
A cobbler would be where I would take it, but unfortunately, cobblers are non existant in my area (even the cobbler shop on MCRD Parris Island, which is 10 minutes away, doesnt do anything with shoes anymore, yet they still call themselves cobblers) though rumor has it a cobbler shop just opened up near wal-mart, if the rumor is true then I will take them there.
