Love this hat bro. The colors are very nice but the shape of the brim is killer. Perfect.

Thanks Alan, Good Eye ! It is a different brim shape than I have on any other hat. It stays slightly flipped down but still curled up at the welted edge. I‘ve tried it before, but it’s the first hat that will stay that way. Remarkable felt. I think the Whippet I’m working in now may do the same.

Whippet! Into shape! It’s not a crime, to Whippet! Whippet good! [emoji445]Da da da da da—daa daa![emoji445]

Now I know this Devo tune HAD to have been used here before, but it would be shame not to redo it for Tim’s post, right?

I prolly didn’t get the words exactly right in the song, but I ripped the familiar guitar riff to the bone!! [emoji1]

Ha ha, I don’t know why I never made that association with Whippet.....

Wegener "Seal", 57 cm possibly mid to later 1950s. The felt color and Chamois finish are fantastic. Also like the ribbon width and bow design. Wegener liked to use names of German towns for their colors, in this case "Fritzlar".

Rare (for me) vintage Lord's hat manufactured by Palco Hats So. Norwalk CT. There is a thread regarding a brief history of Palco Hats in The Lounge. From my understanding, Palco manufactured hats for this store - and I would imagine other mens haberdasheries - in the U.S. What's unique to me about this piece is the fact brim is wider than I've witnessed on a Lord's Hat.. I have another where the brim out to curl is at most 2 1/8 in. Anyway, the felt on this piece is fantastic and will need an adjustment as it has not been worn in a long minute. Here now a few pics...

That’s a really beautiful one, Jack!

Brown wool Greek fisherman’s cap. Thought I’d cure my winter cabin fever with some less costly retail therapy, after spending a lot during the holiday season. It’s a nice addition to my collection, but I still need to unload some others.

An Adam I picked from our Bay tree of life for $25. The new apple of my eye...[emoji849]
I’d guess late fifties, maybe sixties. It was in very rough condition. There was a terrible blowout in the overwelt. I had to take out the sewn in liner[emoji19]to clean it , too dirty to leave in. The grey ribbon that was on it was beyond cleaning and fixing. Oh well, I’ve been trying to choose one of my hats that would make a good candidate for an aspirational project.

I sewed the ribbon and bow on today. A brand new design by the guy in the photo wearing the hat.
Hardest bow yet...by far.

Great hat, but I love the bow! You’ve got some real skill.

Cool work!
Especially that ribbon.
You gotta name it before Nick F. steals it!
