New arrival: The Beautiful Gardener comes from France - including the original box.
Bowler/Derby resp. Chapeau melon - certainly sourced from a larger hat factory
- unfortunately no manufacturer's label - but sold by La Belle Jardinière in Bordeaux.
These were a large French clothing department stores' chain from Paris
with many branches in Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nancy etc.
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/À_la_Belle_Jardinière

The age? My guess is (late) 1930s.
In any case, the felt and the workmanship are really beautiful.

Also new: A Woolie of the brand "Esperazano", which is unknown to me.
I'm not even sure where the hat comes from:
"Esperanza" is Spanish for "hope" - so maybe a Spanish brand?
The Logo on the liner reads "Marque Déposé" - so French?
And it was sold by "Dribault & Spin" in Thenezay (near Poitiers / FR).
The size tag is in German (56), French (4 1/2) and English (6 7/8).
In any case it is a very beautiful, but also very heavy wool felt;
hat with bound brim; the lining is also high quality as is the leather.
But what caught me was the ribbon bow, which I've only seen once
before in a nearly similar way on a boater from the 20s.
I would imagine that this hat is also from the late 20s/early 30s.
Too small for me, but so it goes to Panos along with other hats.

New and also for Panos:
Wegener Cornett Homburg in dark blue with a dark blue (!) sweat.
A fantastic hat with great dimensions and nice felt - and like new.
I haven't seen the lining logo - also with blue - like this before either.
With stiched liner and the plastic liner tip I would say late 1950s.
Size 56 - crown 11,5 at the dent - brim at 5,5/6,0 (sides/front-back).
Sold in Mannheim: Zeumer-Hüte (liner, sweat and plastic protector).

New and this one really for me:
Grey Homburg from Scandinavia - from the manufacturer "Danfelt".
There have already been two hats of this brand here, but apparently
there is no thread on Scandinavian hats in general?
Relatively simple ingredients, but quite nicely made.
I think it's from the late 50s or even 60s - liner is already glued in.
Size is a full 58 - height crown 12.0 - width brim 6.0

Knox Twenty with Custom Edge and Comfit

Knox Twenty with Custom Edge and Comfit

Dark Brown Felt
5 1/2 Crown Open (approx 4 3/4 as shaped)
1 7/8 brown grosgrain ribbon
2 1/2 brim with Custom Edge
130g
Wind Trolley cord with Black Knox Logo Lapel Button

Brent @deadlyhandsome said when I posted this hat was on it’s way...

“I bet this will become a favorite. They just did everything right when they made these hats.”

I agree 100% on both accounts! This Knox Twenty arrived today. It needed a good brushing and a little bit of steam to bring it back to life... but boy did it! Was able to get out most of the “puckering” around the base of the crown and smooth out the ribbon some. A little more steam would probably get it almost perfect. The well finished felt is fairly dense with a luxurious feel to it. A nice full 5 1/2 crown. I love the proportions with the brim at 2 1/2 inches and a nice custom (Cavanagh) edge. The oilskin liner cover is in just about pristine condition. It includes the Comfit sweat cushion system Patent 2632175. I love the little detail of the Knox logo on the wind trolley lapel button. I’d have bet dollars to donuts if I was going to find one of these it would be grey before one in this beautiful brown... but I am sure not complaining.

A big thank you to @DaveProc for the heads up on this one... very much appreciated.

Three hat day (don’t tell my wife). Nothing really special, but a nice little Champ among the trio.

No-name straw from Canada with nice proportions. This one will get some head time.

And last, a Stetson 3X Western with a 6” crown. I had high hopes for this one, but it’s not the size 7 I thought (closer to 7.5).

It will be up for sale. Would make good conversion material or just an all-around beater.

Got my Royal Stetson Whippet fedora today. I spent some time with a steamer shaping it to my liking. a great compliment to my vintage 40s office setting. Although this hat is probably mid to late 50s. The hat itself is in great shape but a slight stain on the ribbon and the ink screened logo is a bit blurred probably due to sweat or steaming in the past perhaps.

The original owner wrote his name on the leather sweat band which is not uncommon.

I had to put a pad spacer under the leather sweat band to size the hat for my skinny head so the sweatband looks wrinkled.

Fun to have and I look forward to cooler months to wear it!

Awesome Joe!
The Comfit sweatband is very similar to the Headspring sweatband on my new Dobbs GP. Actually it is identical and so is the Patent # lol
