Last one (for now). The Transatlantic trade is still going and this hat was part of it. Kindly provided by @M Hatman (thanks Mark).
Knox Premier Westlite in silverbelly. Size 56 with the bound brim at a generous 7cm and hte crown at 11cm at the center dent. The felt on this one is stellar. Shapes easily and holds without steam and the hand is smooth and soft. High quality hat. I have another Westlite in the collection, which is also a fine hat, but not as good as this one. Weighs 125 grams. and has that really cool Knox windcord button.

Those are the best finds, Reggie. Been there, done that ;). Usually though I wear them once and then forget. Such a nice hat too; great ribbon work and a nice stitched edge. It deserves to be worn.
Thank you, Stefan. I am glad I am not the only one forgetting hats. Going shoping in your own closet can often be quite rewarding.

While I was rummaging around the old hat room, I came upon this Biltmore Rosellini wrapped up in a plastic bag sitting in a non descript box. It is a new old stock hat that I acquired some time ago. I have never worn it. I forgot I had it and can’t remember when I purchased it. Maybe right before the pandemic? What a pleasant surprise.

2 1/2 inch brim, color black oak, made Jan. 2005 in Canada. Satin finish. The Rosellini line was considered to be one of Biltmore’s finest dress hats. The felt is of good quality and sturdy. A perfect hat for cooler weather. View attachment 466375 View attachment 466374 View attachment 466372 View attachment 466376 View attachment 466379
Cool. Nice hat, Reggie. It’s like when you find twenty bucks in the pocket of your jeans.

Rochelle black 7 ⅛ or 57cm homburg. The brand is a new one to me. Sold at I. B. Cohen, 525 Main Street, New Rochelle, NY, so probably a store brand. I was having the factory label would shed light on who made it. The vents (not pillows) in the front of the sweatband made me think Caxton or MacLachlan, but I don’t recognize any clues. It’s in great shape and the felt is perfect for a homburg.

I believe this was made by Fernandez Y Roche in Spain for JJ’s. The size is 7 3/8 or 59cm. It reminds me a lot of the Selintino (Tonak) Sterling fedoras. It’s also similar, but slightly inferior to, the modern religious market Borsalinos I’ve had. It’s not a terrible hat, and probably nicer than the current Stetson Royals, but it’s certainly noting great…or even middling. 2 ½” wide brim with some low contrast decorative stitching. The open crown is approximately 5 ¼ inches. At anywhere near full price ($124 on sale according to the sales receipt), I’d give this a pass. I’ll see if someone on eBay wants it. I had low expectations and was still a bit disappointed.

Royal DeLuxe Stetson St. Regis light gray homburg in 7 ⅝ long oval. It’s fits me perfectly! Great felt that is easily shaped dry and holds its shape. I have a couple similar hats in similar/same colors, but there’s room in my collection for this one.

That's a good looking homburg, Brent. Seems well made and the ones with that sweatband are worth taking a shot at.

Burnt Oak colored Borsalino homburg in 58cm. Listed as a 7 ⅛ and 5 ½. It would make sense if it was UK sizing, but I suspect it’s a concession that the hat runs small and it’s a 7 ⅛ US. No label hiding behind the sweatband. It’s a recent hat, but the felt is still decent even if it’s nothing like the earlier Borsalinos.

I like your homburg streak of late! A nice example and Borsalino still makes very fine hats.

The Cyrus sells at JJ Hat center for $275. I think your hunch was right, Brent: JJ usually has their hats made by Selentino but according to Kevin on youtube the Cyrus was made by Fernandez y Roche.

Congrats, Brent. That's a killer hat in a killer colour combination. You can never have enough of those.

Thanks, Stefan. The Fernandez y Roche really does not impress me. The later Borsalino homburg is decent, but it’s nowhere near like the old ones. The 1940s St. Regis will keep me smiling for the next month.
