Scott & Co. ca. 1930s Bowler as sold at renowned Danish/Swedish hatmaker A.F. Bodecker's establishment in Copenhagen.

A solid Bowler with all the quality you'd expect from a Scott & Co.

Sadly, the sweatband is loose in all but one place.

The loose sweat is a bit of an irritation as the Bowler fits perfectly.

Quick & dirty pics. I just got this and it seems cooler than I thought it would be. Made in Germany Excellent Stetson Stratoliner in black. I think possibly late 50’s. Looks to me like it’s just been stored in a too-smallish box and never been creased.

Very cool bowler, Steve. Pity about the sweatband.

In the process of culling the herd of some of my 7 3/8 felts I asked my wife if I should keep any of these. In an unexpected twist, she likes the one stingy I’ve never worn so it is now a new to me hat. :)

That's a good choice, Bill.

I bet your wife was drawn to that contrasting ribbon and bow colour. I'd have kept them all, but if I was forced to choose one, it would be that one.

Can we see the inside?

Very nice, Steve. I know Mike at Northwest Hats can usually recover and/or sew in original sweatbands...just a thought.

Ja, it's irritating for sure.

I might try my hand at sewing it back. There's a first time for everything.

Overdue Western from June purchase-
90's Resistol Quicksilver. Background was distorted during editing. This one seems very little worn, if any. Some have changed out the shiny hat band on their Quicksilver. There is glue or paste on that band that can be worked out with steam and patience.

The sweat band is marked 4X Beaver and the gold lettering inside is pristine.

Big score day! This one here is going to require a few more pictures than normal, but wow! My new-to me bowler got stuck in the mail over the holiday but after seeing it I dont care I had to wait a few more days... its was a thrill to see it come out of the box. An "Excellant Quality" Stetson bowler in fantastic shape. This lid is RIGID! The Taupe colored sweatband is perfectly supple and no damage ( zero cracking... just a bit of soiling that should clean up) Absolutely beautiful liner. Matching colored rondell logo on liner AND the sweatband ( never had seen a colored sweatband logo like this before). Except for the missing size tag, it appears to have all the tags intact including the $8 store price tag. AND IT FITS!!! Even came with a shaved peacock feather ( Im sure Ill find something to stick it in, but it wont be going back in this one.. lol). For $30 Ill say this was a score for sure! Just need to brush a bit and trim one little thread hanging out from under the ribbon.

there is an "F33" in two different places on tags. For those that might know, could that indicate a year?
