In the 56 cm size, or 7 in the US, a French hat was a must.
I have a soft spot for them.
It's hard to find quality Morreton, because they weren't a leading brand on the French market.
I have several in my collection, but few are special.
This one stands out for its color, felt finish, and color combination.
Morreton "Chamois" in the shape of a "Diplomatique", for us Italians; "Lobbia" for the rest of the world; "Homburg."
The color is marked on the paper label, but the sweatband is quite fragile; I don't want to damage it.
Finely lined, it's a high-end hat.
These are the measurements for the "Diplomatique." The curled brims, finished with a trim in the same color as the felt, are 6 cm. The hatband is 4 cm high, and the lowest part of the crown is 10.5 cm.
I bought it on impulse, hoping, but alas, it's intended for the "lucky" ones with small sizes.
