1960’s Stetson 25. Arrived via everyone’s favorite packing method, lol. Pretty darn clean overall. Sweatband in good shape, felt in great shape. Could probably use some steam and brushing, but I’m pretty pleased.
SInce those bags are such a common shipping practice, Ive wondered if some of those sellers ship crystal and china that way too? lol

From Catania in Sicily, originally sold at Moncada & Trifiletti, an original <1936 Fu Lazzaro bombetta.

I bought a haul of 5 hats this week and did not know what to expect. 1 Hat i immediatelly throw away lol. Only i saw there was a Borsalino in it. So i took the gamble for 25 euro's.
Here they come....4 hats.

First one:
A Bristol, an unknown brand for me. It turns out to be a black homburg, sold by Adriaan Dolleé from Rotterdam in the Nethetlands. Not sure if this is a felted hat or a wool hat. The feeling of the felt tells me it's wool but again: not sure.
Not bad at all!!

This could be made in Monza, because, from the photos, it seems 90% made in wool. Don't care about the logo, inscriptions and so on. Many hats made in Monza invaded Europe and much of the world as low-end, mid-range products with no specific markings. Every seller or wholesaler decorated them with "fantasy" writing to suggest a connection with some European or other "hatmaking school."
greenish felted hat. I don't know the brand. No label in it and not readable on the inside of the crown. The leather sweatband tells me it's an England style Zephyr and handmade. Good proportions and nice felt.

When you read about British Style or American Style hats, they're 95% made in Italy. They can be excellent, like the Cervo Bantam, or less valuable, like in other cases. Italian hatmaking supplied shops, hatters, and distributors with finished or untrimmed hats to avoid export and import taxes when protective duties still existed around the world. This is a hat made in Italy.

I like the dimensions on it. I think you made a nice haul with that group.

Cool find, Marcel. It may say English style, but it is in fact a Staalmeester hat. Here's what the crown patch would have looked like:
