including a few different fedoras - some made in Italy, some Stetson, one beaver. Here is the link: http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCat...erchant_Id=1&Section_Id=930&viewAll=t&sortBy=
That's a good deal on the Temple. I've never seen one with that brim treatment or those dimensions. Not the regular Temple for sure. I get aggravated by the S,M,L option also.
Given the price and my current need, I ordered the Italy made fedora in both navy and plum. I am crossing my fingers that XL is big enough for my size 7 5/8 dome and that the crown is not too low nor the brim stingy. :eusa_doh: With BB's return policy, the worst case scenario is I lose the $10 in shipping costs. I will report when they arrive.
I actually saw both the soft "tonal ribbon" unlined one and the stetson a couple of days ago here in NYC. I loved the "tonal". Beautiful feeling, very soft perfect for rolling. Very light too. The Stetson temple, was stiff. Not just, stiff but STIFF!
:arated: here. I see young teenagers here in new york that wear their baseball caps WITH that gold sticker fully displayed. I always wander why[huh]
Exactly! That is too cool for school! I'm going to have to annoy my friend's 10 year old know it all about the net with this one.
I don't think that's the Temple. It appears to be the Windham, which I own. If I'm right, it's a nicer hat than the Temple - dressier and softer with a luxurious finish. The nicest Stetson I've seen in a while!
got the navy... I received the navy tonal fedora via FedEx today. While the website states and the hat is tagged XL, underneath the sweatband I found a "61" tag. Unfortunately, it is does not fit like a true 61- too tight on my 7 5/8 noggin. I suspect a 7 3/8 would find it a perfect fit. I managed to stretch it to fit with steam and a hat jack without much effort but the narrow brim (~2 1/4) is deal breaker. I want a navy fedora with at least a 2 1/2 inch brim. On the other hand, I have the plum version arriving soon and that one I will likely keep because the color is too rare an animal (off the shelf) to pass up. Hopefully, this one will be a truer 61.
