Road racing films

Quick, list all the films of the era or later that are about SCCA-type road racing - from the late '30s through the early 1960s.

I think the era of these films ended with "Grand Prix" in 1966 and "Le Mans" a few years later... but I'm looking for the gritty films about the amateurs through early pros who raced the Maseratis, Ferraris, Jags and especially the many one-off or few-off customs in the postwar era.

"The Big Wheel", 1949, Mickey Rooney plays a young upstart driver at Indy. Great original shots of the real 1949 race. Silly plot (of course) but great racing footage. It was on TCM recently.
I know, it's Indy racing, but much fun.
