Vintage Sears Leather Shop D-pocket Perfecto style jacket. Circa early 1970s.

The WPL number on the inner tag indicates it was made by Ralph Edwards Sportswear, which I take as a sign of quality. Steerhide with nice grain variation in different panels. I really like the corduroy along the inner waistband, behind the cigarette pocket flap and along the interior pocket opening. Cool studs on the kidney flap. Talon main zip with Serval sleeve zips. D-pocket jackets are increasingly harder to find in nice shape.

Excellent vintage condition with no holes, cracks, flaking, lining/sleeve tears etc. All zippers work properly.

Tagged size 40 but could probably work for a size 42.

    Measurements:
    Chest: 23.5"
    Shoulders: 19.5"
Sleeve: 25" (straight), 26.5" (along the curve)
    Length: 23"

    Asking $225 + shipping

Fit pics. I typically wear a size 40-42. It's a comfortable fit with some room for layering if desired.

Oh man I dig these lengths! So hard to find a nice short one like this with decent length sleeves. But I'm a real size 40 and the p2p on this leads me to believe I'd be drowning

It may help you to know that I took the chest measurement with the jacket lying flat and the measurements includes part of the back (beyond the seams). I typically wear jackets tagged anywhere between 38-42. I think this one fits me well (see fit pics above) and I'm only wearing a lighter flannel shirt underneath.

Well perhaps you could measure the leather across the front, across the back and on the side panels in order to get a fuller snd clearer idea of exactly how big it really is. I sgree it fits you well. And with the condition it's in I'm surprised you're selling

I've revised the chest measurement to 23.5" Across the back is also 23.5" My tape measure is a little slack in the photos below.

Selling because I've picked up a couple others jackets lately and need to create space. Also need to pay for a couple of zipper repairs. I enjoyed wearing this jacket but would like to send it to a good home!

That looks to be the earliest of that leather shop label. The first follow-up of the Oakbrook label. The Oakbrook were typically great quality jackets. The leather shop really have to be looked at closely, but this one is well beyond cool. This one is really clean too!

Thanks, Terry. It's interesting to know it's an early "leather shop" version. This jacket is cool, clean and ready to rock!

I should also add that the pocket bags are clean with no holes.
