First, Strom Thurmond, bless his Jim Crow heart, was old enough to have worn Golden Era clothing and hats back when there was a Golden Era.


Second, Al Sharpton, bless his demagogue heart, wears vaguely Golden Era style suits these days: 3-piece pinstripes with peak lapels and double-breasted waistcoats.


Third, there is no third. The first two are enough.
