sniping....?

IMHO, sniping helps prevent "bidding wars" - where one ends up paying more than they had anticipated because they got caught up with winning. Which is wonderful for the seller, but not so wonderful for the buyer!

I've been manually sniping during the last few minutes of an auction, but I may go to an e-snipe service for items that end when I can't be online. I just lost a few auctions because I thought the ending time was later than it really was! :(
