*SOLD* Still in the process of getting ready to move!! This is one of the best suits I have ever owned, and I broke down and listed it on Ebay this evening. It would be difficult to find another suit with all the positives this one has - great material, extremely good vintage condition, and a large size.

I will be posting other good vintage and high-end menswear over the next few days!

PS - I cannot PM yet - if you want to send me an email, you can use phillip.c.williams@us.army.mil

Thanks much for the well wishes & the info - I am a total newbie on this site - been collecting/wearing old clothing for 30 years & only discovered the site a few weeks ago!

I have some other nice things I would like to offer on the Lounge before putting them on Ebay, as I see some folks doing, but cannot figure out how to post a photo. It doesn't help that I am not very good on the computer. Any advice you can give is appreciated. Thanks!

I am posting another mid-century tweed suit sometime this week - this one (also a 3 piece) appears to be from the 30's - 3 button jacket with notched lapels and patch pockets, flat fronted, but very full cut, high waisted trousers and a high gorge vest. This one is made of extremely heavy Donegal tweed with a very "hairy" texture. Also a large size - 46 - runs a bit long on me.

Wish I knew how to post photos on this site - any advice/suggestions are welcome - I am a techno-Neanderthal...

Posting Photos

Your camel would probably be more skilled at posting photos than I am but here goes. This comes from the FAQ button and search for "photo posting."

"What Are Attachments?
The administrator may allow you to use the attachment feature of this forum, which gives you the ability to attach files of certain types to your posts. This could be an a text document, a zip file etc.

The way you attach photos:

You need to upload images to a server. Either your ISP (internet service provider) or image hosting sites such as http://www.webshots.com/ or http://photobucket.com/ Once you have uploaded your photo and can see it in your browser, put your cursor over the photo and right click and select properties. This will show you the address of just the photo. Highlight and copy that. To attach the image to a post at The Fedora Lounge, start a post and click on the little image icon above the text field. A pop up box will allow you to paste the address of your image. Click ok. The photo will appear with your post.

Only certain types of files may be attached: these are the valid file extensions for files to be attached to this forum: .

After posting, the attachment will show up in the body of your message. To view the contents of the attachment (if it is not already displayed) simply click the filename link that appears next to the attachment icon ."

So, first you have to set up a free account at some image hosting website like Photobucket and save your photos from a phone or camera onto that site.

Back in the FL note, the image icon is the square yellow box thingy with the mountaintop inside.

The URL to copy and paste into the popup box will look a bit like this:
http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii175/Boodles_60/FL Album/th_OrvisVest-WomansL.jpg
You may also have to allow popups to get the box to open up.
Delete the existing http: and paste in the whole address unless you get some junk after the .jpg. If so highlight and delete that.
