It's the 1925 World Series between the Pirates and the Senators. Interesting to see how chilly it must have been that early October day in Washington.
Shorpy also had some great shots of the 1920 Series at Ebbetts Field.
Some of those Shorpy shots, you down load them, then enlarge the image on your screen and you get such amazing little details. You feel as if you could step right into the picture.

lack of snap brim fedoras. If you look carefully you'll see they aren't
precisely homburgs. Back then the lines between fedora and homburg
weren't as clear.

Look at the "homburgs". You'll see many of the edges are not bound.
You'll see that almost all of them are dented, many with side dents
like an Open Road hat. Many appear to be softer than what we think
of as a homburg.

What is really interesting is the variety of hats.
It seems to me the 20s offered more hat variety than later decades.
