Trainman's Cap

I have a trainman's cap which is a hard-style, stiff cap with stiff brim and the cheap original sweatband has disintegrated.

Is there anyone out there to whom I can ship this hat and have a new, decent-quality sweatband sewn in?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I know nothing of these stores, but they aren't far from Orlando so the would probably be the best for you.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I've read a number of posts about Art Fawcett and his skills with hats.

Anybody know if he does this kind of replacement on a stiff hat? A Trainman's cap is nothing like a soft fedora or panama, but has a plastic lining to stiffen the hat and provide some form of head protection during train service.

If so . . . perhaps someone can provide me contact info for him.

Thanx!

I don't think Art does that kind of work, anymore. That hat sounds similar in function to a riding hat. Perhaps a tack store might know.
