One Too Many

Hello all,

Shortly I'll be off to my tailor in order to have him make me some trousers. Ideally I'd like to have him make me up several pairs with a more vintage feel - high waisted, etc. However, I'm not all that knowledgable on the proper terminology!

I'm not after anything extreme (like those '30s super wide-legged trousers that the Oxford lot wore) - rather something that the average Joe in the '30s and '40s (more '40s) would've worn.

Can any of you mention some features that I should request?

Also - any suggestions on material & weight would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

my advice: print out some pics of trousers you like and take them along. point at the pictures and say "like this !" then ring the bits you like in bold felt-tip. don't leave anything to chance.
