Ah, yes, Rod Serling. Great series, probably one of the best on TV ever. Mr. Serling is a hometown hero around here. He was raised in Binghamton. Several episodes were based in part on locations or towns near Binghamton. He was also in the military (Airborne) in WW2. He earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. And did anyone notice that Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock) was in the episode?

Rod Serling was in the 11th ABN. He started writing when he was recovering wounds he received in the Pacific. Wonder why he did some of his episodes about the Pacific ? Last time I saw "Trapper John" he was on FOX News as a commentator.

12 O'clock High DVD Set

I went to a web site called www.Ioffer.com last week and typed in 12 O'clock High TV series and a seller who goes by "Those were the days" came up and he had all 78 episodes on 39 DVD's for sale for $44 with shipping included. I received the DVD's yesterday and watched 6 episodes today and the viewing quality was for sure a 9 out of 10 and better then the picture quality when I first started watching the series in 1964 and needless to say I'm very very happy because I've had some bad experiences with aftermarket DVD's in the past.

I still like it and yup, I too wish the series was on DVD. I wish they would remake these like all the skuttle butt says they want to.

Does anyone remember the STEVEN SPEILBERG "amazing stories" that had a WW2 BOMBER
Crew in which the ball gunner was stuck, and the landing gear didnt work, so one of the guys
goes into a tranz and drawing Cartoon wheels and of course the cartoon wheels saved the gunner.
Then, after they got the guy out, the soldier in the tranz fell out, and the wheels disappeared.
Does anyone else know where I can watch that? I have looked for that for years."

Yes! I have that on VHS! It's called "The Mission". 3 November 1985

It is on 'Amazing Stories' Book One. I'll bet it's on eBay.

I loved that show! I'm so glad you reminded me of that particular one. It sounds a bit silly, but it was actually a really neat story. Totally mind over matter. You can watch it on YouTube, user DIDOUAZ852 has it uploaded, divided into 5 parts. Here is part 1:
