I used to have a poster of this iconic 1932 photo hanging in my bedroom around 15 years ago..it inspired me to buy my first newsboy cap and vintage work boots. I still wear both of them.

Ever notice at the beginning (and end) of the Wizard of Oz, the three farm hands are wearing some pretty stellar chinstrap work shirts? I'm not good at getting captures from video and there are no photos available out on the web, but you can check them out here (shortly after 3 mins):

There's a repro that needs to be made.
It may happen. From e-workers:

"Dear Oversea Customers,

This month, I made the work shirt.
Some people ask me "you refer to Milton F Goodman Work Shirt?"
I do say "No"

I refer to BIGYANK work shirt, circa late 1930's to early 1940's.

Typical design of Milton F Goodman Shirt in 1920's is different from BIGYANK in 1930-40's.
http://www.e-workers.net/ad/reliance13/2.jpg

Of course there is possibility that late stage of Milton F Goodman Shirt and early stage of BIGYANK are similar design.

Anyway, I have plan to the work shirt I refer to 1920's Milton F Goodman Work Shirt. Maybe next spring. Please looking forward to it."

Excellent new book !:

I had posted the release party details for this book both here (repro workwear thread) and on the FB Lounge page, asking if anyone was planning to attend. It went ignored in both locations.

Hope some lounge members attended anyway.

Gone.
I'm in Amsterdam, that's a long bikeride home from LA, especially drunk...
But if the party was as good as the book I'm sorry I missed it.
AND I also missed Rin Tanaka's booksigning on the other side of the park last year.:(
Don't get around much anymore.

That shirt is great.

I didn't do nearly as well, but for $2, this 70s Cap'n Jac wasn't just going to sit in the thrift store. The buttons were once painted white, but most of that is gone now. I'm thinking of tacking the collar down to keep it from flaring and screaming 70s.
