VR Queens Rangers Can anyone ID this?

Just acquired this Victorian Canadian 'Queens Rangers 1st Americans badge.'

Anyone any idea what it is from? Collar badge, Forage Cap, Cross belt, Pouch?
Any help much appreciated. MP

Fairly certain that's a cap badge. Not an expert on Canadian militaria, but the two loops on the back suggest it is, as does the general shape.

Queen's Rangers

Looks to be a cap badge. File off the loops, and that badge would make
an impressive pocket watch chain ornament; right next to my Phi Beta Kappa
key....first dibs if it goes classifieds....lol

Cobden, Sorry, but I cannot find this badge on Google. Theres ones with wreaths around them or much later ones with the usual Sliders but none with just the shield and crown. A Link to the badge you found please?

I forgot to mention it is Silver. Probably Officers then.

Yes, I only found the later one's too. The basic design for cap badges doesn't usually change, the addition of the wreath may be due to a change in hat type worn (I think a similar thing happened with one of the English regiments - I think it was the Essex but I may be wrong). Being silver is a bit odd, mind you. What are the dimensions of the badge?
