at the state college of Veterinary Medicine. Best job I have ever had. No two days are the same, I have seen things & met people I never imagined I would, the people are great & it is work & a mission that I can get behind 100%. Very rewarding.

Well, gosh. All of you at least have interesting sounding jobs. I am in retail. Ugh. Well, I can't complain too much. I DO work M-F. I am the pricing and signage coordinator for my Lowe's store. I have the power.

You poor thing.

I also work for Lowe's in the Commercial Sales Department.

Mostly I work with contractors and people building and or remodeling houses.

I've been writing documentation for computer software since 1982. For the last ten years, I've been documenting mega-boring mainframe systems: luckily, the company/people are great, because the work itself isn't very inspiring!

I work to live, not live to work. Frankly, I'm much more into spending quality time with my family, and doing old-school photography, studying movies, art, cooking, hiking, etc...

I work part time as a TV/Film extra, which takes up only a little time during the month. I am also an exam invigilator at schools where the kids think your'e from another planet if you dress smart, and if you wear a hat they need personal therapy to get over it!
Prior to this I was an Air Traffic Controller until my body told me twice, it was time to take it easy and go more stress free....which I did and now enjoy my life each day.

That's what I used to do, and how I got into archaeology. I worked on a project for 18 months, writing help screens in English and German for a Ford project, only to find out they would never be used; they were for ISO 9001 (or is manufacturing 9002?) purposes only. That's when I called it quits and went back to school. There were aspects of that job I loved, and still miss, but I still get to write (a lot!) and I also get out doors a lot more often. It's a nice blend.

I'm a contract paralegal. I'm currently doing records retention work for the Corporate Financial division of a large corporation. My contract runs through the end of the year, after which I hope they keep me on full-time.
