What hat are you waiting for today?

Discussion in 'Hats' started by Jazzcat, Dec 23, 2004.

  1. 100% beaver fur felt from FEPSA
Came in at 5" Open Crown, flat sided (more so than original attempt)
    2 7/8" brim width, just under 3"
    This should work out okay...

Thx. Sounds like it's gonna b nice w the straighter sides and larger brim. Will u have enuff crown to work with?

  3. Leaving it open crown like hat Tommy Lee Jones wore in The Missing...brim is not bound & shorter...

Just ordered an Akubra Bogart (carbon grey) from Hats Direct. It might be interesting trying to track its progress from Oz to Indiana.

Depends on your shipping option. Their lower cost Air Mail service is not trackable. I believe the higher priced ECS service provides you with a tracking number.

I would be interested in seeing a picture of the finished product. Requested a 6" open crown on my build from Mike, but the resulting height was a bit underwhelming.
    Good luck!

I have a hat waiting for me - from Buckaroo Hatters.

It was delivered to our house and is currently in my wife's clutches.

This is going to cost me, I think.

Well, DelMonico's hit my credit card for this afternoon, so that must mean that my Excellent Strat has finally come in. Anxiously awaiting shipping confirmation.

After a short delay caused by a credit card glitch I am now informed that my new Akubra Bogart in carbon grey is on its way. That will give me a couple days to 'splain it to the wife who thinks two hats, one felt, one Panama, are enough.

The Excellent Strat in sage has landed. Arrived yesterday, really beautiful hat, the color, the ribbon and binding are perfect. It was a long wait but worth it.

Woke to find notice that my Akubra Campdraft has shipped from Everything Australian. Should be here just in time for Father's Day and I can blame it on my sons!

Just noticed Art sent a notification that the old Stratoliner I sent for cleaning and blocking last week is already on it's way back to me. Shipped today with a scheduled delivery of... Monday.

Man, this weekend is going to seem like it's going to last forever!
