    Thanks for the kind words. I wear every kind of hat but really enjoy the fedoras. I've bought 5 or 6 in the last few months but always seem to gravitate towards the Temple. I'm in the market for a nice OR Silverbelly 7 3/8 or 7 1/2. I think it would go with more clothes than a grey or black.

    No. fortunately the Chief( who I like very much) of the SDPD brought back the service cap as an optional part of the street patrol uniform. There are a few patrol officers who always were it, but not many.

    This hat is actually a true "taupe", in my opinion:rolleyes: , and the ribbon is just a darker tone of the same colour. Never seen it's exact like before or since[huh]

    That's the effect I was looking for when I put a darker ribbon on my taupe campdraft.:)
