Most ring pulls are impossible to date, they were used in the earliest days of the zipper. There are a couple of distinct ring pulls, but most are generic as far as I can determine.

The Talon tear drops are c.1960 as far as I can determine. They go on in the 60s, maybe early 70s. There are also non branded imitations.

They went into the 80’s with Vanson and Bates m/c gear. Brooks too.

Yep, they go well into 80's for some makers. Apparel Annex used them all the way until they went under and like you said, they were pretty much trademark of Brooks cafe racers. I think it is safe to say that most jackets with them are from the seventies. Rarely earlier.

Really great. I unboxed them and my first thought was “the leather is way too thick to move in.”
Then i put them on. Then my next thought was “these are as soft as sweat pants.”

I've got a couple of new leathers coming in next week - giving my Cal some time in the sun before I put it in the closet. Never truly appreciated this style until I got this jacket. Features like side-laces used to be dealbreakers for me but that's no longer the case. Definite keeper. It's the only jacket I've worn for the past 3 weeks
