What kind of hat is this.

I didn't get much response on the e-bay thread, does anyone have an idea as to what brand this hat might be? The only clue from the discription would be the "water bloc" and possibly the Commentator. I've e-mailed the seller for more info but haven't heard back yet. Also by looking at the large photo can anyone tell if the hat is wool or fur felt.

Lee had the "waterbloc"® I think. If so, I am sure it is a fur felt.

I own a Lee with the "Water Bloc" treatment.

It's a Lee- probably '40s or early '50s, and you got a heck of a deal, especially in that color.

From that photo it appears you may have a Cavanagh edge (or whatever Lee's version of it was called). If it indeed is, and not a welted edge, well, that makes all the more special.
