Tied down here at the office last nite. Skipped Christkindl, no Leberkase, pancakes, or hot pretzels. Got home round 11:00, raided the frig.
Cold chicken, Greek bread, a Calif zinfandel. Not bad all-in-all.

Last night at a Christmas party, homemade pork tamales, chicken tacos, carne asada tacos, rice, Guinness, a couple of Christmas chocolate porter ales, desserts of all kind, and great company.

Homemade bangers that I let settle overnight (I spent a few hours during yesterday's snow stuffing bangers and red hots) and mash.

Actually, I mixed Jiffy cornbread mix in with regular flour. I think I'll need to dilute it a bit more next time, the corn dogs came out a tad fluffy for my taste. It was my first time making them, and I didn't follow an exact recipe.

This morning while waiting for the 6.20 Rock Island I was talking to another passenger who mentioned Christkindlmarket's Gluhwein, served hot and spiced.
I replied that I've been meaning to stop by there and grab some bratwurst or Leberkase at least. Cold and snow certainly add ambience to a tight schedule.
    Try tonite.:)
...if I was twenty years younger, would have asked her to accompany me to Daley Plaza.;)
