Bacon wrapped steak!
I believe we can stop the game, we have a winner.
Prepared for D-Day...
Not the best of choice in combination.
Sometimes you just gotta make do with what you got.
Tonight I had cheese and asparagus stuffed in a pork chop with mashed sweet potatoes and nutella filled croissants for dessert.
Tacos tonight. Fish tacos and tacos de campechanos, which is grilled steak and chorizo. Also there was pico de gallo and some cheese dip.
K. Fruit Loops
"No artificial flavors."
"No artificial colours."
Slow simmered chili...2 pots, one red with beef and one green with pork. I'll fix some burgers on the grill to go with. I'm hopeful there's enough leftovers to get a few more meals out of later in the week, but my kids are spending the weekend with me, so it's a stretch.
Savoy stew with ground beef and real Frankfurters.
BenRiach Solstice for dessert.
Szeged Goulash tonight.
Red Wine Mousse, grapes and Armagnac for dessert.
This looks delicious!!
Where I live is about a 4 - 4 1/2 hour ride to the coast. One advantage of this is the proximity to good, fresh seafood. I bought 2 pounds of gulf shrimp caught last night from a couple guys selling it out of their truck in the parking lot of the gas station. I sauteed some of it in butter with fresh garlic and tossed it with some linguine. The rest will end up in some gumbo next time the kids are over.
Stew with garlic biscuits!
Had some leftover chili in the refrigerator so I made some enchiladas with it. Stuffed them with pepper jack cheese. Two slices of sweet potato pie for dessert.
Even better than last night, second day stew and garlic biscuits.
Homemade chicken soup and home baked bread!
Had a Mettbrötchen with onions and a blueberry mueslibar.
Dinner this evening....
