The fleas ...how I hated the fleas...maybe the Pope in Avignon had it right ...just wear all the robes and surround the area with faggots and then burn them night and day and cook the little suckers...then we can go back to business in Rome...Popes ? ...you want Popes..we got Popes...we even got anti-Popes... enough already....with these schismatic Popes...

1340´s were splendid over here! We were powerful, our king was also the emperor of the holy roman empire, he founded a university, new town of prague... Maybe there was a little plague once or twice, but still, one of the greatest decades ever :)

I blame the "Holy" Roman Empire part for most of the dismay... We could use another plague, if you ask me (the 1918 Influenza outbreak was a nice try, but not quite close enough).
