1340´s were splendid over here! We were powerful, our king was also the emperor of the holy roman empire, he founded a university, new town of prague... Maybe there was a little plague once or twice, but still, one of the greatest decades ever

I blame the "Holy" Roman Empire part for most of the dismay... We could use another plague, if you ask me (the 1918 Influenza outbreak was a nice try, but not quite close enough).
