A Message From The Bung Factory

It is me.

We...wife and two children live in a bung factory...

Well it was once. On the front of my brick home built in 1850 is painted

"S. Kampf and Sons Bung Factory" it was until the 1950's then abandoned

a factory that produced wood corks for beer kegs.

More proof, as if we needed it, that we have seen the
enemy and it is us. The Lounge is driving up eBay hat
prices, so I'll hear no more whining here about high prices!

My new avatar reminds me not to bother. I am beginning
a campaign to get some of the hats I already have the
repairs they need. Art just put a new sweatband in the
blue Mallory Coast-to-Coast I picked up so many years
ago from Jon Lundberg, and it's like having a
new (to me) hat!

Of course if I see a deal I just can't resist... watch out.

Oh, and Weegee, thanks for finally clarifying the term "bunghole".
If I had known that's where beer comes from...

Yep, I did use the service. I didn't have time yesterday to check it out until the evening. Then when I saw I won I ran around the room a few times. I was dancing like my avatar. My wife figured I won something.
I will tell you, though, that I would have paid much more for the hat considering its age, color rarity and brim width. That was a real steal as far as I am concerned.
As always, I will post pictures when I get it or moan if it was misrepresented.

I thought I heard buzzards flying overhead. I just noticed that WeeGee is Bungfactory. Hmmm...now I know.
With two of these in the collection for reference, it might be possible to get them reproduced. I am curious as to how they put the hat together like that. :eusa_doh:
