I have only three leather jackets now - one is the Ventura, one my original Aero (picked up from the artist formerly known as WL - or rather, his son) and the LW "A-1" styled jacket I picked up here a couple months back from Worf.
The GW looks great. I had to send it to JC to get the lining slightly raised in the center as the Shinki hide did a little Shrinki over time. Nothing major - maybe 1/2"? So the bottom line is that mainly due to the weight of the hide and the temps here in SoCal, it's the one that gets the most wear. Anyone considering a Shinki hide jacket, don't hesitate. You might want to get a hair extra as I know another chap here had his Shinki Ventura shrink more than mine, but I think he got his soaked a few times if I recall correctly?
Anyway, if I needed to get a new one, I might add a bit to the length as that's the only dimension I think changed ***noting that it might be me that changed - who knows
*Edit: Wow, looking back on this thread, I realize that some great guys are no longer around here. Guys that helped me a lot and got me interested in jackets. I see now why this place has a different vibe than it did. That's a huge loss IMHO.
