Most of the time...it really depends on the barista I think. I just drink espresso drinks too. This is what they call a Depth Charge which is a Long Black, a double shot of espresso pulled into a cup of black coffee. For their espresso drinks & their ice coffees I would give Caribou Coffee a good rating, certainly better than Starbucks. I don't drink any foo-foo coffees so I can't judge them.
I always see those big cups in the US when we here use tiny tiny cups.
Here it depends on the brand, for me italian coffee brands taste like something burned.

If you just order an espresso here it will be a single or double shot served in the small espresso demitasse cup. We tend to like volume so other espresso based drinks give you the intense flavor of an espresso plus the added volume of coffee, cream, milk or water.

A Depth Charge or Long Black is to coffee what a Boilermaker is to a beer when you drop the shot of whiskey into the beer.

Another Colorado distillery I wasn't aware of. Have you tried Strannahan's or Tin Cup?
I have not tried either, but have heard of tin cup. This was new at my store. I don't know own if it's a one time purchase or if they will get more in.

Good afternoon. This morning involved meeting contractors/inspectors and a few final punch items to get the final "thumbs-up" on the construction project in the business. Hot and humid work as I was not able to turn the air conditioner on in the building since last evening. Home and relaxing having a Deschutes Pinetop IPA ( https://www.deschutesbrewery.com/beer/pinedrops-ipa/) and opening the accumulated mail. Sometime the last couple of days I achieved a new Simons Cap. I am excited and trying on the wool cap, even though the weather is NOT wool weather. Strongly overcast skies make the pics poorer than usual. I am sending a toast over the internet to forum folks. Check the beer refrigerator in the boathouse and you are welcome to sample a beer.

This is an excellent beer with a strong hops taste that I have been enjoying of late. The beer really has a smell and an after taste of pine. I like it even though my experience with homemade pine tea (made during Boy Scouts) and homemade Gin (w/Junniper berries) tasted nasty.
