Just received my Stetson Brewster from Sterling. It is somewhat darker in color that I imagined, but still very nice. Fit perfect and will probably be my everyday winter hat. Very soft felt

I wear one every day even as Chief. I usually leave it in the car most of the time and wear to cases, meeting etc. Usually wear white shirt, tie khaki pants and gun. In Texas it is just too hot to wear a jacket most of the time. Best story I have of it was I was running a multi-agency task force...

Last time I went to an inter-agency meeting, there were several other people wearing fedoras. Looking good I say.

It was a good feeling, helping just a little in getting the job done. Happy faces all around. Not something we see often.

Of course we wear fedoras. I am seeing more from other agencies wearing them also.

Dark gray goes with most everything.

I am beyond the stage in my life that I even care what others think. I went to a University graduation on Saturday, and the man sitting across the isle from me was wearing a hat that looked just like what I was wearing. I mentioned to him I like his hat and he replied "same to ya".

I wear mine everyday, everywhere. The only exception is that I won't wear one on a raid or while executing a warrant. Otherwise, as soon as the vest comes off, the hat goes on.

I started when I was 51. I think that anyone can wear a hat.

Another great show that used to croos-over from Law and Order had some who fedoras' Homicide Life on the Street, had a character Frank Pembalton that mostly wore one. Munch from SVU started his character on that show, although I never saw him wear a hat.
