    Mike, what model/era are those? The tread looks kinda like the Grounders. I finally got a pair of the Grounder Hi 1949s about a month ago. The toe box is much less constricting than that of the Converse (that was why I had to quit wearing the Chucks). I'll post pictures sometime soon.

    I first started wearing wool socks for backpacking and then graduated to wearing my light-weight grey hiking socks for casual wear. I have since declared that I will buy no more socks except wool or wool blend, but I didn't know where to get them. I'll have to check out BCF for those RL ones...
