So here goes! I've actually separated my review in thee categories.
Service:
Thought I'd start with this first, as to me the service you get while ordering/ waiting for your jacket is just as important as the jacket itself. I frankly I couldn't be happier, and certainly Chirs went beyond my expectations. When I order the jacket Chris made sure that I got the size correct. I wanted 1 inch more in length which he recommended as well, but he also recommend adding an inch to the sleeves. I'm happy I took his advise as in my view the sleeve would've been a bit too short if I hadn't.
Chris kept me update in the progress with the jacket and then when he received it from the factory he reviewed it thoroughly. We then had a conversation on the phone and he was honest and told me what he thought might need redoing- basically the hook and eye which in his view was not perfect. Also he asked if I was happy with the pockets placed just 2 inch from the seem, which I was, but I appreciate he asked and said he would get it fixed for me if i wanted. After getting the hook and eye replaced, Chris sent the jacket to me- with a birthday card giving it was my birthday a few days before!
had quite a few calls with him and clearly he's really focused on getting the right jacket to you - exactly like you want it. I think that's great. I certainly haven't had such great service from other of the more established
brands.
Jacket style
I love the jacket. I think it looks great, the collar is slightly pointy, which I love, and the length is perfect to me, not only that, it's really comfortable to wear: I can move in this jacket, it is design so as no to restrict movement, and I can add some later under it- but it still keeps the authentic look of the A2. The colour of the leather is just beautiful. Hope the photos do it justice, it's a nice red russet, really the jacket is very stylish.
Jacket quality
The leather is beautiful, smooth and supple yet still has a bit of that stiff feel to it. There's not much breaking in needed but enough to make it fun and "personalise" the jacket of time as you wear it.
So overall I'm really happy I went for Aerial Star. Not only the jacket and service are great but also 3 payments make it really worth it too.

Its a beautiful jacket. I wonder, is the waistband knit a bit loose? I agree with the service, Chris has been great to correspond with. Looks like a fantastic jacket for the price!

Thanks, the waistband know doesn't feel particularly loose to me, it feels ok. I think the jacket is really comfortable to wear in that I really don't feel restricted. Also when I raise my arms, the jacket's waistband doesn't come up to my belly button like it did on some other jackets. It rises only a bit but not much over my belt, which I really like.

Congratulations on a really beautiful jacket. Sorry, but I had to laugh when I saw the pictures -- you've got that slightly goofy smile we all get when, after a wait, you finally pull the thing out of the box. What a great experience.

Fair enough, I like it this way though, I like being able to move a bit and have some layers under the jacket.
