Thanks fellas, I been wanting to try a bowler for years but wasn't confident enough. I found this one and I'm hoping the fit will be right as the seller didn't know the size. But going from the pictures posted with a tape measure across the length and width of the sweat its definitely in the ballpark. Seller excepts returns so that helped boost my confidence. I didn't know anything about Lincoln Bennett & Co until I dug around here a bit, figured the $29.99 buy it now price worth the gamble on the dent

That is a great price for a Lincoln Bennett.
I would have easily paid double at least for it.

Could anyone shine some light as to the maker of this hat. I can't find any information as to a Royal Park. I've seen a JC Penny's Marathon that looked identical to this, so I'm assuming

this one was made by Lee as well. I'm also assuming it's a 1940's model. Any information would be helpful and please correct me if I'm wrong on speculating the time period.

Could someone please give me any more information on a Western hat that Stetson made in the 1950s? I saw a photo of a Western fedora that was very similar to an Open Road. It had a bound brim which was wider than the Open Road, cattleman's crease, and a 1" to 1 1/2" grosgrain ribbon with frayed bow tips on the back side of the bow. This would have been a Royal Deluxe model. Any insight ( rarity, etc. ) on this model would be helpful.

If you would take the time to read my question correctly you would have noticed that I do not have the actual hat but was only inquiring as to any information to this style of western fedora that Stetson made in the 1950s. Rest assure, if I would have that hat, there would of been photos.

Okay, here is the only pic of the hat I'm asking about. This is the model I'm interested in finding out more information. I do know it is a 1950s, red liner with Royal Deluxe on the sweatband. Seems different than an Open Road.

Could also be the later model (not the 30's-40's) Stetson Laloo. Really there are so many.
Look over the Stockman Farmer/Miller Stockman catalogs posted around here for ideas.

Hatman, the more I look at these photos the more I see that none of them are quite the same as this hat. I noticed on the hat I'm inquiring about; it has a flat brim and a ribbon and bow treatment identical to an Open Plains but with a bound brim. It's a good starting point for sure but there's an odd mix to this hat. It doesn't seem to exactly fit. I do appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.
