Northern Manitoba Canada, in mid winter at 30-40 below Celsius. Classic way to dress would be wool underwear two piece or one piece, similar to modern stanfields:http://www.stanfields.com/men/underwear/shirts/heavy-weight-wool-henley.html
Thick wool pants similar to the http://www.filson.com/products/mackinaw-field-pants.14010.html
Wool shirt or sweater. Wool cap with ear flaps: http://crowncap.com/catalog/product/pure-wool-ivy-cap/
Or fur hat. Thick wool socks with leather boots or mukluks.
Wool coat or sheepskin jacket, would make it complete.
Ill be posting pics as soon as I can. Lots to share!

I have a double pair of Icebreaker base layers - two long sleeve tops and leggings. They’re made from merino wool so they wick moisture away. Under a submariner and an Irvin or ANJ-4 I should be good with the worst weather Ireland can throw at me.

I'm a Canadian.. so I have a whole closet of parkas. I'll list them in descending ability to deal with the cold.

1) Canada Goose Heli Arctic parka. This bad boy deals with -30 degrees celsius and below easily. CG's heavy duty jacket, but no longer sold as they've transitioned from expedition gear to urban living. https://www.hiltonstentcity.com/products/canada-goose-mens-heli-arctic-parka

2) Snow Peak waxed cotton down parka. https://www.kafka.co.uk/item/31928/SnowPeak/Takibi-Down-Jacket-Olive.html. It's extremely well built. Just a solid solid parka. My criticisms are the main zipper isn't as heavy duty as I'd like (it hasn't given me any problems however), and the sheepskin trimmed hood (while PETA friendly) doesn't wick the wind as much as coyote fur.

3) Schott N3B parka. https://global.rakuten.com/en/store/super-rag/item/3102019/. Just a beater parka I wear to the gym. Fake fur trim hood which is a turnoff, but I got it on steep sale.

4) Spiewak x Epaulet Golden Fleece N3B parka. Love this one, but man.. is it poorly made. Just rips everywhere in the internal lining, pockets. But it looks so cool, so it gets a pass.

Using layers, starting with polypropylene next to the skin, then a wool shirt followed by a wool sweater. Final layer would be the jacket, coat or parka, depending on the temp and my activity level. For low activity levels a peacoat or a Thunder Bay. For those cold Sunday afternoons in a NFL stadium, definitely the Canada Goose.

Really cold weather calls for an ANJ-4. I owned an Aero one for a couple of years, and it was a stunning piece of kit, but it was so heavy and warm that I just didn't get enough wear out of it, so I traded it of a D-1, which is a fantastic and flexible warm jacket. I would also recommend an Irvin - worn a size larger than your usual one, it's perfect for layering and the loose sheepskin traps and warms the air next to your body.

I've also a REAL Canada Goose Parka I picked up off the bay last year that I've no pics of yet. I know it's real cause I did research and someone tried to steal it from me once already.

Yes. This year will be better than last year, and last year was decent. Made the playoffs and actually won the first game. Then played Tom Brady & Company and went home to wait for this year.
Wish I could say the same for the Bears. I'm not buying what they are selling but there's always hope (for a 500 season). I do suspect I will consume equal amounts of wings, chili and beer (horizontally) while the cold rain pounds away outside. So that's good. That's the kind of Sunday that can't get here fast enough.
