I'm a little confused. Isn't CXL a combo tan? (I.e. Chrome tanned and veg re-tanned)

Was the Vermont espresso veg tanned again in addition to the CXL treatments or do I have the CXL process mistaken?

I think the Vermont is vegetable tanned only if I remember correctly. The 'Tannery Row' Horween website has a chart with all of their leather properties.

Right. According to the Horween chart, Vermont is full grain, straight vegetable tanned. 2- 2.5 ounces.
